Da vinci was born in a period where the whole country is being popularized by Renaissance which means a fervent period of European cultural, artistic, political and economic “rebirth” following the Middle Ages. This period is so into arts, scluptres. This book of DA VINCI by WALTER ISAACSON detailed each and every story of his paintings from " a warrior " to " the last supper.
Every painting is a great achievement for not only da vinci but also for the entire world. For example in one of his paintings called Benois Madonna, he painted Virgin Mary's blue dress in shades ranging from almost white to almost Black with huge in detail. I think he is the only person in human history who has such detail in paintings, he is the man of ideas. He is known as a great artist but he is also a great mathematician, engineer and an inventor what not.
" If the painter wishes to see beauties that would enrapture him, he is Master of their production."
He also has a great vision for the future, that is why he used to maintain a book with him and writes his ideas. He is also a great fashion designer from his clothing which has a different portray of himself in Florence.
Many of his paintings were repainted but never portrayed like him.
He lived in a period where church considered homosexual acts a sin and being gay he was never shy in attracting towards men while others were.
He used to question everything from why sky is blue to why heart beats. To every question he used find an answer by himself which gave a great mine in remembering things vividly. He is one of the major Western thinkers, more than a century before Galileo. His mathematical inventions includes Needle - grinding machine, a perpetual - motion machine using a water screw, a screw jack with ball bearings etc.
To describe in one word he is a man of ideas. People who thought he is Just a painter will realize he is more than monalisa after reading da vinci by Walter Issacsson.
