The temple which you should visit once in your life time.
It all started when my friend told me a place called Thanjavur, as a south Indian I have grown up listening to these kinda names and thought to explore it one day.
“ Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyar Koyil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of a fully realized Dravidian architecture .”
From Selam to Tirichy and to Tanjavur we reached at 6 in the morning and I should say, the place we dropped from bus was worse and it was devastating as I was travelling all the day.
How we started ?
So we booked a room in #OYO which I liked the most and it costs 1300/- day as the login is at 11.00 we went at 9 in the morning. Somehow the hotel guy was pretty cool with us and gave us a room as soon as he can.
Tamilnadu is famous for it's sunny & as it was winter it's too cool for us to bare. Once we searched our room and trust me google maps played a vital role during our travelling, we were so fast in dressing up ourselves and we were out with in 20 minutes and went near by hotel where we had a tamil dosa with sambar & continued our path.
Once we reach there it was crowded with tourists , I can easily point out a fellow telugu guy because they cover alot from TN to U.S
Once I was there my head was all up, it is very big I mean literally very big to see, you must go away a 500 meters to see it's full architecture.
That is when I took this picture and there are few more which I took during our visit at temple which I will show you in the next article.
